A/C General description
Air conditioning system (cooling and heating) based on the Chilled Water system or with direct evaporation in units. The customer chooses it according to preferences. Each of the above two systems are designed with independent devices for each cabin. Additionally, two devices for parallel or alternating operation with a manual air distributor are provided as backup. One for the VIP cabin and galley. The other one for Master Cabin and Guest Cabin. All units with evaporator are installed outside the cabins, to coo it for greater comfort. Additionally, in the case of large storage spaces above the guest and under the VIP cabin, it is possible to cool these spaces with additional backup air conditioners.
Ventilation system with independent supply and exhaust fans for each cabin. Each fan is located in the front technical room. Fresh air is supplied directly to the cabin, the exhausts are removed by the bathroom ventilation. Each fan is equipped with an EC motor with smooth regulation in the bathroom. Each cabin is equipped with a CO2 sensor that triggers the fan to operate at maximum efficiency. Additionally, in case of large compartments above the guest and VIP cabin, there is a possibility of ventilating these spaces. The yacht's ventilation system is equipped with diagnostics with damage signaling.
The general differences between the two types of A/C systems:

Direct expansion provides greater redundancy as each I / O unit is a separate circuit.
Air discharged from evaporators is cooler than from chilled water systems.
The system is simple, it does not require hydraulic equipment.
In the event of a failure of the refrigeration system, repair is difficult and requires the knowledge and skills of a specialist with demanding instruments.
When fully loaded, multiple chillers are running with compressors that generate noise.
The refrigerant with oxygen-displacing properties reaches the living spaces of the yacht and, in extreme cases, can be a threat.
Reconstruction of systems and replacement of steamers, e.g. for larger models, are not possible and usually require replacement of the installation.

Chilled water system:

It allows you to regulate the water temperature, in a situation where we do not need to fully use the cooling power, the air temperature from the exchangers is more comfortable.
This arrangement has no restrictions as to the length of the installation, so the arrangement of the exchangers can be made with greater comfort.
Such system consumes less energy because the compressor used in the main unit is usually smoothly regulated.
The refrigerant is contained in one device in the engine room and cold water circulates in the living quarters.
The layout allows for alterations and changes to indoor units.
All repairs and system leaks come down to the work of a plumber.
Despite many advantages of the chilled water system, it should be remembered that, regardless of the automatics used, it is a water hydraulic system that requires pressure control, venting, and topping up with water.
In the chilled water system, the indoor units have actuators and valves that may become blocked between periods of non-use.

Engine room Ventilation
Ventilation of the engine room is provided by a set of two supply fans and a set of two exhaust fans. Each of the fans has a separate control system. The principle of basic work - during the activity on the vessel and the activation of the main safety devices, only one exhaust fan No. 1 works with a capacity of 1000m3 / h 588cfm, which provides 20 changes per hour for the engine room. When the main engine is started, the exhaust fan no. 2 is started with a capacity of 1000m3 / h 588cfm. Additionally, the fans No. 3 No. 4 work with the capacity of 1000 m3 / h 588cfm each. Increasing the efficiency of ventilation takes place after increasing the temperature in the engine room in relation to the temperature outside the yacht, and this happens in 4 steps every 5K. Regardless of the automation used, the capitan in the wheelhouse or directly in the engine room can read the temperature and trigger the maximum operation of the fans (also from the steering position). Coarse mesh filters were installed on the air intake to the engine room to pre-clean the intake air. Filters can be installed during stay in marinas and places around the world exposed to dust, and have been equipped with a cleanliness indicator. Each fan has dampers with an actuator responding to power failure. The damper and actuator have been coupled with the SEARIRE (See Fire protection System) system.
